strelec

doc. Ing. Luboš Střelec, Ph.D.

His research primarily focuses on verifying the assumption of normal distributions of random variables in the analysis of economic big data, with particular emphasis on the influence of outliers on the outcomes of normality tests. Currently, he is developing a robust descriptor-based neural network designed to train a high-accuracy network capable of correctly assessing the normality of distributions with outliers or light-tailed alternative distributions that closely resemble normal data, where traditional normality tests may fail. In addition, his research interests include volatility modelling in financial markets and the problem of quantitative efficiency evaluation.
